Whenever you create an organization on Greek Chapter, a term is automatically created for you and set as active for your organization. The term that is automatically created matches the current point in a school year.

What are terms

Terms are a super easy way to keep data organized within your organization. Terms represent the following time periods in a school year:

  • Winter

  • Spring

  • Summer

  • Fall

Towards the end of each term, a new one will automatically be created for your organization to use whenever it is best fitted for you. Greek Chapter does not automatically switch terms/set new ones as active as every school is different.

Using terms

You're able to view terms in the past, but you should only set the active term of your organization when you're actually in that term. By setting the active term, resources that are tied to terms (such as points) will be properly added to the correct time period.

By default terms do not have a start and end date. It is highly recommended that you add the start and end dates to your terms so that you can properly view data within your organization by time period. Adding these dates will help ensure that you are viewing the correct data at all times regardless of where and when you're looking.
